About the Role:

Working as a Senior Game Designer on Hitwicket, a leading cricket strategy game with a highly engaged global player base. I contribute to the game’s core systems, live ops, and long-term product direction, balancing sports authenticity with accessible mobile design.

Key contributions:

• Designed and iterated on core gameplay systems, including FTUE, progression, balancing, and economy flow to support both new and elder players.

• Planned and executed Live Ops events and seasonal campaigns tied to cricket beats, focusing on increasing retention, DAU, session time and monetisation.

• Worked extensively with FTUE experiments to improve the D0 - D7 experience of players.

• Built and optimised in-game economies, including reward structures, sinks/sources, and offer design to align with player behaviour and revenue goals.

• Collaborated cross-functionally with product, art, and engineering to take features from concept to launch, improving clarity and execution through detailed specs.

• Conducted deep competitive benchmarking of sports/strategy titles to identify opportunities for new features, meta expansions, and UX improvements.

• Developed player-centric feature pitches and documentation, helping refine the game’s strategic direction and long-term roadmap.

• Conducted user interviews to understand users' pain points and experience to refine the gameplay and the overall experience of the game.
